This unusual and beautiful hair comb is from Sumba, Indonesia. Traditionally worn by young women high on the head like a crown during religious ceremonies and celebrations, these combs are known as Hai Kara Jangga. Carving motifs are passed on from generation to generation reflecting elements of the tribal mythology of the island.
