50-strand Lapis Necklace

A fabulous necklace made by Katia.
Fifty strands of the finest, tiny, deep-blue, cylindrical lapis beads from Afghanistan, painstakingly strung onto blue silk.
The bespoke clasp was designed by Drift especially for this necklace and cast in sterling silver before being oxidised to produce the antiqued finish.
The shape and texture of the “torc” can be altered to one’s personal taste by applying a couple of twists before wearing.
And it feels wonderful too!
